Terms of Service

HOBS Companion — Home of Beautiful Souls Foundation
Last updated: July 12, 2026

By using HOBS Companion (the "App"), you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

1. What HOBS Companion is

HOBS Companion is a mental health support and self-care tool provided by Home of Beautiful Souls Foundation. It offers mood tracking, journaling, task management, guided screening tools, grounding exercises, and the ability to book sessions with therapists who work with HOBS.

HOBS Companion is not a medical device, a diagnostic tool, or an emergency service. It does not replace professional mental health care. If you are in crisis or immediate danger, call 112 or iCall at 9152987821 (Mon–Sat, 10am–8pm) right away.

2. Who can use the App

You must be 18 or older to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Your account

4. Screening tools and self-assessments

The screening tests and self-assessments in the App (such as mood and wellbeing questionnaires) are self-report tools intended to help you reflect and, where relevant, inform a conversation with a mental health professional. They are not a clinical diagnosis. Only a qualified professional can diagnose a mental health condition.

5. Booking sessions with therapists

6. Acceptable use

Please don't use the App to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Content you share

Journal entries, task photos, and other content you create in the App remain yours. By choosing to share a journal entry with your therapist, you're granting that specific therapist access to that specific content for the purpose of your care — nothing more.

8. No warranty

The App is provided "as is." While we work hard to keep it reliable, we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. HOBS is a non-profit doing its best with the resources available to us.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Home of Beautiful Souls Foundation and its officers, employees, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence, nor does anything here override any right you have under Indian consumer protection law that cannot be waived by agreement. Where a mental health professional you connect with through the App is an independent practitioner rather than a HOBS employee, their professional conduct and clinical judgment remain their own responsibility, governed by their applicable professional standards, separately from HOBS's responsibility for operating the App itself.

10. Changes to the App or these terms

We may update the App and these terms over time. If we make material changes to the terms, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.

11. Upcoming features

We're building the following, not live yet — listed here so there are no surprises once they are:

Once either of these goes live, we'll update this section and the "last updated" date above, and notify you in the App.
